Author: Roland

Question 1

Driver install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Use the Roland EGX-30A driver package for your exact Windows version, run the installer as administrator, and connect the engraver only when prompted. Remove older Roland USB drivers first if setup stalls.

Question 2

Engraver not detected?

Accepted Answer

Power the EGX-30A on before opening engraving software, use a direct USB port and known-good cable, then check Device Manager for an unknown/USB device. Reinstall the driver and select the correct EGX-30A port in the software.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall previous Roland driver/software versions before installing a newer package. Don’t mix EGX-30A drivers with other Roland device drivers; if an update breaks connection, roll back to the last working version.
