Name: Roland DXY 1200 Driver
Author: Sekonic

Question 1

Installer fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Legacy plotter drivers often require administrator rights and Windows compatibility mode. Run the Roland/Sekonic setup as admin, reboot, then check Device Manager for an unknown plotter or COM/GPIB device.

Question 2

Plotter not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the DXY-1200 is powered and online. Match the driver settings to the plotter: correct COM port and baud/parity/stop bits for RS-232C, or GPIB address for IEEE-488. Verify cable type and handshake mode.

Question 3

Version conflicts / duplicate devices?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older Roland plotter drivers and remove stale COM/GPIB ports in Device Manager before installing the new package. Do not install multiple DXY driver versions side by side.
