Name: Roland CAMM 1 PNC 950 Driver
Author: Roland

Question 1

Install fails on modern Windows?

Accepted Answer

The PNC-950 uses a legacy Roland cutting-plotter driver/installer. Run it as administrator in compatibility mode for the supported Windows version; on 64-bit systems, use a supported PC/VM or signed alternative. Avoid unsigned hacks unless necessary.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the correct serial/parallel connection. For RS-232C, match the driver’s COM port, baud rate, data bits, parity, and handshake to the PNC-950 settings; test with a known-good cable and avoid USB-serial adapters that drop hardware handshaking.

Question 3

Version conflicts/spooler errors?

Accepted Answer

Remove old Roland/PNC drivers via Device Manager and Print Server Properties, reboot, then install only one driver version. Do not mix 32-bit and 64-bit packages.
