Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Use the Renesas USB 3.0 root hub package that matches your Windows version and architecture, and run it as administrator. Remove any existing Renesas root hub entry in Device Manager (enable Show hidden devices), reboot, then reinstall.

Question 2

Device not detected / USB 3.0 ports fall back to 2.0?

Accepted Answer

Confirm xHCI is enabled in BIOS/UEFI, reseat the front-panel USB 3.0 header, disable USB selective suspend and Fast Startup, then scan for hardware changes.

Question 3

Version conflicts or Code 10/43 after Windows updates?

Accepted Answer

Roll back the driver from Device Manager > Properties > Driver > Roll Back, or uninstall the root hub and let Windows reinstall it. Avoid mixing Renesas and Microsoft xHCI packages; install one, reboot, and retest.
