Question 1

Installer fails on modern Windows?

Accepted Answer

The Razer Diamondback 3G package is legacy and may lack current digital signatures. Run the installer as administrator in Windows 7 compatibility mode, and temporarily disable driver signature enforcement if Windows blocks the driver.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Try a rear USB 2.0 port directly on the motherboard, not a USB 3.0 hub. Check Device Manager for unknown devices, then reinstall the Razer driver and reboot.

Question 3

Version conflicts with Synapse or old Razer software?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall Razer Synapse and any previous Diamondback drivers first. Remove hidden mouse entries in Device Manager, reboot, then install only the Diamondback 3G driver package.
