Question 1

Installer fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Run the Razer installer as administrator, temporarily disable antivirus, and close Razer Synapse or older Razer software first. Use the package for the Abyssus 1800, not a newer mouse model.

Question 2

Mouse not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect it directly to a rear USB port, avoid hubs, and check Device Manager under “Mice and other pointing devices.” Reconnect, rescan, and test on another PC to rule out cable or port failure.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall existing Razer Synapse/drivers, reboot, then install only the compatible Synapse version. Don’t mix old and new Razer packages; remove leftover Razer folders if settings still fail.
