Name: Ralink RT3060 Driver
Author: Ralink

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the RT3060 installer as Administrator and try Windows 7/8 compatibility mode. If the driver is unsigned, temporarily disable driver signature enforcement. Confirm the package explicitly supports RT3060 (`DEV_3060`), not just another Ralink RT3xxx chip.

Question 2

Adapter not detected?

Accepted Answer

Power off and reseat the PCIe card, try another slot, and check BIOS for disabled PCIe/wireless devices. In Device Manager, look for an unknown device with Hardware ID `VEN_1814&DEV_3060`; if it never appears, the card or slot is likely the issue.

Question 3

Version conflicts or dropouts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall any existing Ralink/MediaTek driver, select “Delete driver software,” reboot, then install one matching driver/utility version. Prevent Windows Update from replacing it with a generic driver via rollback or driver update hiding.
