Question 1

Install fails on 64-bit Windows?

Accepted Answer

The QMS 1060 driver is legacy and may be unsigned. Run setup as administrator, try Windows XP compatibility mode, or add the printer manually with a compatible PostScript driver and the correct port.

Question 2

Printer not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the QMS 1060 is powered on and ready, run its self-test, reseat the parallel cable or USB-to-parallel adapter, and select the matching LPT/USB port in Printer Properties. Avoid unsupported adapter drivers.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove any existing QMS 1060 or QMS print driver before reinstalling. In Print Management, delete the old driver package, restart the Print Spooler service, then reinstall only one driver version.
