Name: Promethean ActivBoard V3 Driver Driver
Author: Promethean

Question 1

Install fails or is blocked?

Accepted Answer

Run the Promethean ActivBoard V3 installer as administrator and allow the publisher if Windows SmartScreen prompts. Close ActivManager/ActivDriver first; if an older package is present, uninstall it, reboot, then reinstall.

Question 2

Board not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the ActivBoard is powered and its status LED is on. Connect USB directly to the PC—not through a hub—try another port/cable, and check Device Manager for an unknown device. Reinstall the V3 driver if needed.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove previous Promethean ActivDriver/ActivBoard software in Apps & Features, reboot, and install only the V3 driver. After installation, verify the board appears in Device Manager and run calibration.
