Name: Posiflex PD2800 USB Device (COM4) Driver
Author: Posiflex

Question 1

Install fails or driver will not load?

Accepted Answer

Run the Posiflex installer as administrator, disconnect the PD2800 first, then reconnect after installation. If Windows blocks an unsigned driver, remove any older Posiflex USB serial driver entries in Device Manager and reinstall the vendor package.

Question 2

Device not detected or COM4 missing?

Accepted Answer

Try another USB port and cable, check Device Manager for “Posiflex PD2800 USB Device” under Ports, and confirm COM4 is not already used. Assign a free COM port if needed and refresh the POS software’s port list.

Question 3

Version conflicts with existing USB-serial drivers?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall conflicting Posiflex/third-party USB-serial drivers, delete the driver package, reboot, and install only the current Posiflex PD2800 driver. Verify the correct COM port in your POS application after reconnecting.
