Name: PRUFTECHNIK OPTALIGN smart Driver
Author: Pruftechnik

Question 1

Install fails or is blocked by Windows?

Accepted Answer

Use the driver package matching your Windows version and OPTALIGN smart firmware. Run the installer as administrator, allow signed PRUFTECHNIK drivers, and temporarily disable third-party antivirus during installation.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check the USB cable and port, confirm the OPTALIGN smart is powered on and in PC-transfer mode, and connect directly rather than through a hub. Then update or reinstall the driver in Device Manager.

Question 3

Version conflicts after software upgrades?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older PRUFTECHNIK alignment software and stale USB drivers before installing the current package. Reboot and reconnect the instrument so Windows binds the correct driver.
