Name: Polycom ViaVideo Driver
Author: Polycom

Question 1

Install fails?

Accepted Answer

The legacy Polycom ViaVideo installer may be blocked on modern Windows. Run it as administrator in Compatibility Mode for Windows XP SP3, and use 32-bit Windows or a VM if the package is unsigned/32-bit only.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check Device Manager for an unknown USB video device. Connect the ViaVideo directly to a rear USB 2.0 port—no hub—and confirm its power/LED. Reinstall the matching Polycom driver, not a generic webcam driver.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older Polycom ViaVideo software and any other webcam drivers, reboot, then install the correct package. Avoid mixing 32-bit and 64-bit drivers.
