Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the Pocket Tunes driver installer as Administrator and use the 32-bit or 64-bit package matching Windows. Older Palm/Pocket Tunes USB drivers may require temporarily disabling driver signature enforcement; reboot after installation.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect the Pocket Tunes device directly to a rear USB port with the original cable, not a hub. On the device, select USB/cradle or drive mode, then install the USB driver before opening sync or media software.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older Pocket Tunes, Palm Desktop, and previous USB drivers, then reboot and remove hidden USB devices in Device Manager. Install the latest driver only, and avoid running two sync/media managers at once.
