Author: Plustek

Question 1

Installation fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Run the Plustek installer as administrator, temporarily disable antivirus, and disconnect the PS606U until prompted. Confirm you downloaded the 32-bit or 64-bit driver matching Windows.

Question 2

Scanner not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect the PS606U directly to a rear USB port, not a hub; check power and cable. In Device Manager, look for an unknown/USB device, then reinstall the driver and restart.

Question 3

Driver/TWAIN conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older Plustek or scanner drivers via Apps & Features and Device Manager, reboot, then install only the PS606U driver. Set the Plustek TWAIN/WIA source in your scanning app.
