Author: Plustek

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall any previous Plustek/OptiSlim software, reboot, then run the downloaded driver as administrator. Keep the scanner disconnected until the installer prompts; connect it directly to a rear USB port, not a hub.

Question 2

Scanner not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check power and use a known-good USB cable; try another USB 2.0 port. In Device Manager, remove any error-marked imaging/USB device, rescan, and reinstall the driver.

Question 3

Driver/TWAIN version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove older Plustek TWAIN/WIA entries and scanner utilities before installing the OpticSlim 2400 package. Match 32/64-bit Windows; after install, select “Plustek OpticSlim 2400” as the scan source in your scanning app.
