Name: Plugable UD 160 A Driver
Author: Plugable

Question 1

Driver install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall any existing DisplayLink software, reboot, and run the latest Plugable/DisplayLink driver installer as administrator. Temporarily disable antivirus if it blocks the installer, then reconnect the UD-160-A after installation.

Question 2

Dock not detected?

Accepted Answer

Use the supplied USB 2.0 cable directly to the PC, not through a hub. Try another USB port, confirm the dock’s power adapter is connected, and check Device Manager for DisplayLink devices. Restart the DisplayLink service if needed.

Question 3

Version conflicts after Windows Update?

Accepted Answer

Windows may install a generic DisplayLink driver that conflicts with the Plugable package. Remove both old and Windows-provided DisplayLink entries, reboot, install the latest official driver, and reconnect the dock.
