Name: Plantronics Audio 626 DSP Driver
Author: Plantronics

Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the Audio 626 DSP headset, run the installer as administrator, and reconnect directly to a USB 2.0 port—not a hub or dock. Reboot before retrying.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check the USB cable/port, then open Device Manager and look under Sound, video and game controllers or USB audio devices. Uninstall the headset entry (delete driver), rescan, and set the 626 DSP as default playback/recording device.

Question 3

Version conflicts or duplicate audio devices?

Accepted Answer

Remove older Plantronics software and duplicate headset entries, reboot, then install the current Plantronics Hub/driver package. Avoid mixing legacy drivers with newer software; let Windows finish driver setup before testing mic and speakers.
