Question 1

Driver install fails or is blocked?

Accepted Answer

Run the installer as administrator and use Windows compatibility mode for older packages. If Windows blocks the touchscreen driver signature, verify you downloaded the correct Planar PT1510MX package for your OS.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check the USB or serial connection, try another port/cable, and confirm the touch controller appears in Device Manager. For serial models, match the assigned COM port in the touch driver settings.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall existing Planar touch drivers and calibration utilities, reboot, then install the PT1510MX package. Avoid mixing old HID touch drivers with the new install; recalibrate after rebooting.
