Name: Pioneer DVD RW DVRTD11RS ATA Device Driver
Author: Pioneer

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Open Device Manager > DVD/CD-ROM drives, uninstall the DVRTD11RS entry, reboot, and let Windows reinstall the standard CD-ROM/ATA driver. Install Pioneer firmware only from an elevated command prompt; do not force a generic driver.

Question 2

Drive not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the DVRTD11RS appears in BIOS/UEFI and Device Manager. Check the SATA/IDE cable and power, try another port, and verify the correct SATA mode. If missing in Windows, scan for hardware changes and check for upper/lower filter driver issues.

Question 3

Version conflicts after Windows Update?

Accepted Answer

Windows may replace the driver. Use Roll Back Driver in Device Manager, uninstall and rescan, or keep the inbox driver. Avoid mixing old Pioneer packages with current Windows versions.
