Question 1

Driver install fails?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the DDJ-SZ before installing. Close Serato DJ, run the Pioneer installer as administrator, and reboot before reconnecting the controller.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Use a direct USB 2.0 port, not a hub. Confirm the DDJ-SZ power supply is connected and switched on, then check Device Manager for the Pioneer DDJ-SZ and reinstall the driver if missing.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall any older Pioneer DDJ-SZ driver via Programs and Features, reboot, then install the latest Windows-compatible driver before opening Serato DJ.
