Name: Pinnacle Systems 500 USB Device Driver
Author: Pinnacle

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the Pinnacle 500 USB installer as administrator and temporarily disable antivirus. First remove any older Pinnacle/Dazzle software and driver from Apps & Features and Device Manager.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect the Pinnacle 500 directly to a rear USB 2.0 port, not a hub. In Device Manager, check for “Unknown Device” or Code 43, uninstall it, then rescan for hardware. Try a different USB cable.

Question 3

Driver version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

In Device Manager, right-click the device, choose Uninstall device, and select “Delete driver software.” Reboot before installing the correct 32-bit or 64-bit package; do not mix old and new Pinnacle drivers.
