Author: Philips

Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Run the Philips SPC 300NC driver installer as administrator and in compatibility mode for the Windows version it supports. Disconnect the camera during setup, reboot, then plug it in when prompted. Uninstall any previous Philips PC Camera software first.

Question 2

Camera not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect the SPC 300NC directly to a rear USB 2.0 port, not a hub. In Device Manager, check Imaging devices or Other devices for an unknown USB camera; uninstall it, reboot, and rescan for hardware.

Question 3

Version conflicts or duplicate drivers?

Accepted Answer

Remove older Philips SPC 300NC/PC Camera entries, including hidden devices, then reboot. Install only one matching driver package and avoid mixing generic USB video drivers with Philips software.
