Question 1

Installer fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the Silex package as Administrator, close SX Virtual Link and any USB device-server utilities, then remove older Silex drivers before reinstalling. Keep `pdinst.ini` in the installer’s expected folder; do not edit it manually.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the Silex USB device server and Windows PC are on the same network, the server has a valid IP, and Windows Firewall allows SX Virtual Link/device-server discovery. Reconnect the USB device to the server and refresh.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Mixing old SX Virtual Link/driver versions with newer firmware can cause connection drops or “device in use” errors. Uninstall all Silex software, reboot, install the matching driver/firmware set, and remove duplicate `pdinst.ini` copies.
