Question 1

Installer fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the driver setup as administrator and temporarily disable antivirus. Confirm the package matches your iMedia’s Windows version and 32/64-bit architecture; if setup still fails, update manually via Device Manager > Update driver > Browse.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check Device Manager for unknown devices, ensure the onboard audio/network/graphics device is enabled in BIOS, and install the Packard Bell iMedia chipset driver first, then reboot.

Question 3

Version conflicts after Windows Update?

Accepted Answer

In Device Manager, use Roll Back Driver or uninstall the device with “Delete driver software,” then reinstall the Packard Bell-supported driver. Avoid mixing generic Windows drivers with OEM iMedia packages.
