Name: Packard Bell ISTART 2311 Driver
Author: Packard Bell

Question 1

Installer fails or stops mid-way?

Accepted Answer

Older Packard Bell iStart 2311 driver packages may not run on newer Windows. Right-click the setup file, set Compatibility Mode to Windows 7/8, and run as administrator. Pause antivirus during install, and install the chipset driver before audio, network, or graphics drivers.

Question 2

Device not detected after install?

Accepted Answer

Open Device Manager and check for unknown devices. Compare the Hardware ID with the Packard Bell download, confirm 32-bit vs 64-bit Windows, then reboot. For integrated audio/network, reinstall the chipset driver first.

Question 3

Version conflicts or devices stop working?

Accepted Answer

In Device Manager, roll back or uninstall the current driver and select “Delete driver software.” Reboot, then install only one Packard Bell-approved version. Avoid mixing generic Windows Update drivers with model-specific packages.
