Question 1

Installer fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Run the Pacific Image driver/software installer as administrator, close CyberView/VueScan and other imaging apps, and temporarily disable antivirus. If Windows blocks the older driver, install in Windows 7 compatibility mode and reboot before connecting the scanner.

Question 2

Scanner not detected?

Accepted Answer

Use a powered USB 2.0 port directly on the PC, not a hub; confirm the scanner’s power supply is connected and the unit is on. In the scanning app, select the PrimeFilm 7250 TWAIN source, then reconnect USB and rescan.

Question 3

Version/TWAIN conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove old Pacific Image/CyberView drivers and duplicate TWAIN entries via Apps & Features and Device Manager, reboot, then install only the current 7250 package. Don’t mix VueScan/SilverFast TWAIN drivers with the vendor package.
