Question 1

Driver install fails or shows “best driver already installed”?

Accepted Answer

The Q95 uses a monitor INF/ICM package, not a GPU driver. In Device Manager, expand Monitors, right-click the Q95/Generic PnP Monitor, choose Update driver > Browse my computer, and point to the extracted folder. Run as admin; if blocked by unsigned-driver policy, use the signed package from Optiquest.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check power and VGA/DVI cable, select the correct input on the monitor, and force detection via Settings > System > Display > Advanced display > Detect. Try another port/cable and confirm the GPU detects any monitor.

Question 3

Version/color-profile conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall old Optiquest/ViewSonic monitor entries and delete stale Q95 ICM profiles in Color Management, reboot, then reinstall the current package.
