Author: Optiarc

Question 1

Install fails or drive shows Code 10/39?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall the Optiarc BD-ROM in Device Manager, reconnect the SATA data/power cables, then rescan. Run the driver installer as administrator and use the package matching your Windows version.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the BC-5600S appears in BIOS/UEFI. Set the SATA mode to AHCI (or the mode used when Windows was installed), try another SATA port/cable, and make sure the slim drive is fully seated.

Question 3

Version/driver conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove older Optiarc or generic Windows entries, reboot, and install only one driver package. If Blu-ray reading fails after an update, roll back the driver and update the chipset/SATA driver.
