Question 1

Install fails or drive shows Code 10/28/39?

Accepted Answer

Remove stale optical-drive entries in Device Manager (View > Show hidden devices), reboot, and let Windows reinstall the native CD/DVD driver. Avoid third-party “driver updater” packages.

Question 2

Drive not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check SATA/ATA cable and power, confirm the AD-7560A appears in BIOS/UEFI, and verify the ATA controller is enabled. If recently changed from AHCI/IDE mode, revert or reinstall the controller driver.

Question 3

Version conflicts after Windows update?

Accepted Answer

Roll back the optical drive/ATA controller driver in Device Manager, or uninstall the device and rescan. Use only Optiarc firmware/driver for the exact AD-7560A model; mismatched firmware can make the drive disappear.
