Question 1

Driver install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the installer as administrator, disconnect the OnePlus 6T, and temporarily disable antivirus. If Windows blocks it, update manually in Device Manager by right-clicking the unknown/OnePlus 6T device and choosing “Update driver” > “Browse my computer.”

Question 2

Phone not detected?

Accepted Answer

Use the original USB cable and a rear USB 2.0 port. On the 6T, enable Developer options and USB debugging, then set USB preferences to File Transfer/MTP. For ADB/fastboot, confirm “Android ADB Interface” appears in Device Manager.

Question 3

Version conflicts with older OnePlus/ADB drivers?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall previous OnePlus, Google ADB, and universal ADB drivers, select “Delete the driver software,” reboot, then install only the Windows 10 driver matching the OnePlus 6T.
