Author: Olympus

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the Olympus installer as administrator, close any running dictation/transcription software, temporarily disable antivirus/SmartScreen, reboot, then retry.

Question 2

RS-27 footswitch not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect it directly to a rear USB port—avoid hubs—check Device Manager for unknown/HID devices, try another USB cable/port, and confirm the Olympus dictation software lists the footswitch as an input device.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older Olympus drivers and dictation software, remove hidden USB devices, reboot, then install the latest RS-27-compatible package. Use compatibility mode only after the driver install succeeds.
