Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Run the Olympus Master 2.x Upgrade installer as administrator, close all Olympus Master/Viewer processes, and temporarily disable antivirus/security prompts. Confirm the required base Olympus Master version is already installed and compatible with your Windows version.

Question 2

Camera not detected?

Accepted Answer

Use the original USB cable, power the camera on in Storage/PC mode, and connect it only after closing Olympus Master. Try another USB port and avoid hubs.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Older Olympus Master or Viewer installations can block the upgrade. Uninstall the previous Olympus Master version, reboot Windows, install the 2.x Upgrade, then reconnect the camera.
