Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the Olympus DS 3000, run the driver installer as administrator, and temporarily disable antivirus/security software. Reboot before reconnecting; avoid USB hubs.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Use a known-good USB data cable and a direct USB 2.0 port. Set the DS 3000 to PC/storage mode, then check Device Manager for unknown devices and reinstall the driver.

Question 3

Version conflicts after Windows updates?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall old Olympus drivers/software, restart, and install the latest DS 3000-compatible package. If other Olympus devices were used, remove stale entries in Device Manager first.
