Name: Okidata ML690 Driver
Author: Okidata

Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Remove any existing Okidata/ML-series printer entry in Print Management, reboot, then run the ML690 installer as administrator. Use the correct 32/64-bit package and avoid the generic Windows dot-matrix driver.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the ML690 is powered on and connected directly—USB to the PC, or parallel to the correct LPT port. Check Device Manager/BIOS for the port; avoid unpowered hubs or adapters.

Question 3

Version conflicts / wrong output?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older ML690 or Oki drivers, clear the print queue, and reinstall the current Okidata driver. Set the correct paper form length and tractor-feed settings so continuous forms align properly.
