Question 1

Installer fails or stops mid-way?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the printer, close other programs, run the Okidata setup as administrator, and restart the Windows Print Spooler. If an older C6150dn package exists, remove it in Print Management > Drivers before reinstalling.

Question 2

Printer not detected?

Accepted Answer

For USB, connect directly to a rear port with a known-good cable and avoid hubs. For network, confirm the C6150dn has a valid IP, ping it, then add a TCP/IP port manually using that address.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Windows may install a generic OKI or inbox driver. Remove old C6150dn driver packages and queues, install the latest Okidata package, and choose “Replace the current driver” if prompted.
