Question 1

Install fails on modern Windows?

Accepted Answer

The B4300 driver package may be older or unsigned. Run the installer as administrator, use Windows’ “Add Printer” wizard with Windows Update, and confirm you downloaded the correct 32/64-bit package for your Windows version.

Question 2

Printer not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check the USB cable and port directly on the PC, not a hub. Power-cycle the B4300, ensure it is ready/online, then rescan in Device Manager or Add Printer. For network models, verify the IP address and that the printer is on the same subnet.

Question 3

Driver version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove old Okidata B4300 driver packages in Print Management and uninstall the printer in Settings. Clear the print spooler, reboot, then install only the current B4300 driver for your Windows architecture.
