Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Remove any existing Oce im4512/PCL6 entries, restart the Print Spooler service, then run the PCL6 T1 installer as administrator. Match the driver package to Windows x64/x86.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Create a Standard TCP/IP port using the printer’s static IPv4 address or hostname instead of WSD. Confirm the im4512 responds to ping and is not in sleep/offline mode.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Multiple PCL5/PCL6 or Oce im4512 drivers can make Windows select the wrong one. Uninstall old Oce packages, clear stuck print jobs, reboot, and reinstall only the im4512 PCL6 T1 driver.
