Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the printer, remove existing OKI B721/PCL entries in Settings > Printers and Print Management, run the installer as administrator, and reconnect only when prompted.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the B721 is powered on and use a direct USB port (not a hub) or a stable network connection; for network use, verify the printer IP and select the correct TCP/IP port.

Question 3

Driver version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall old Okidata B721 PCL5/PCL6 drivers, restart Windows, then install one package matching your OS architecture; avoid mixing Universal PCL and model-specific drivers.
