Question 1

Install fails on newer Windows?

Accepted Answer

The older OKI B4600(PCL) package may not run on Windows 10/11. Run setup as administrator, try compatibility mode, or add the printer manually via Add Printer > Have Disk using the extracted PCL INF.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the B4600 is set to PCL emulation and connected with a known-good USB cable/port (or correct parallel port). Check Device Manager for unknown devices, power-cycle printer and PC, then reinstall.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove existing OKI B4600 or generic PCL drivers in Print Management, clear stuck print jobs, restart the Print Spooler, then install only one PCL driver package.
