Question 1

Install fails or hangs?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the OKI B412 USB cable before running the PCL6 installer, run setup as administrator, and restart the Print Spooler if it stalls. Reconnect only when prompted.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Use a direct USB 2.0 port, not a hub, and try another cable. For network use, confirm the printer IP, ping it, and add a Standard TCP/IP port manually before installing the PCL6 driver.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove any existing OKI B412 or generic PCL6 queue first. In Print Server Properties, delete old OKI driver packages, reboot, then install one PCL6 driver matching the Windows architecture.
