Author: Oce

Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Remove any existing Oce 9400 II print queue and old driver first, then run the installer as administrator. For network setup, assign the plotter a static IP and add a standard TCP/IP port instead of relying on auto-discovery.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the 9400 II is online and reachable by ping. Temporarily disable Windows Firewall or allow the installer, then add the printer manually using its IP address. Avoid connecting USB until the installer prompts you.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall previous Oce drivers, restart the Print Spooler service, and install the correct 32-bit or 64-bit package for your Windows version. Do not mix older PCL/PS queues with the new driver; remove stale queues before reconnecting.
