Name: O2Micro OZ6922 CardBus Controller Driver
Author: O2Micro

Question 1

Install fails or driver won’t bind?

Accepted Answer

The OZ6922 is a legacy CardBus controller; use the package built for your exact Windows architecture (32/64-bit) and run it as administrator. If Windows blocks installation, check driver signing/Compatibility Mode, or install manually via Device Manager > Update driver > Browse.

Question 2

Device or card not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the CardBus slot is enabled in BIOS/UEFI and that the laptop is not in a power-saving state. Reseat the PC Card, test another card, and check Device Manager for unknown PCI-to-CardBus bridge entries.

Question 3

Version conflicts after an update?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall any existing O2Micro/OZ6922 driver, reboot, then install only one version. Avoid mixing OEM and generic CardBus drivers; use Device Manager rollback if a Windows update breaks the slot.
