Name: Kyocera FS 1016MFP Printer Driver
Author: Kyocera

Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Run the Kyocera setup as administrator, leave the USB cable disconnected until prompted, and remove any older FS-1016MFP/Kyocera package first. If Windows blocks the legacy driver, use compatibility mode for a supported Windows version, then reboot and retry.

Question 2

Printer not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect directly to a USB 2.0 port, not a hub; reseat the cable, power-cycle the MFP, and check Device Manager. Restart the Print Spooler service, then add the printer manually with the Kyocera driver.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

In Print Management, delete existing FS-1016MFP printers, drivers, and ports; uninstall Kyocera Status Monitor/Client Tool; reboot; then install one matching 32/64-bit package for both printing and scanning.
