Question 1

Installation fails or hangs?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the M6026cdn, remove existing Kyocera KX printer entries in Print Management, restart the Print Spooler service, then run the KX driver installer as administrator.

Question 2

Device not detected (USB or network)?

Accepted Answer

For USB, use a direct port and known-good cable. For network, confirm the M6026cdn’s IP address and that port 9100 is reachable, then add the printer by IP instead of WSD.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

If printing or scanning breaks after a Windows update, uninstall old Kyocera KX packages, delete leftover driver files, reboot, and install the latest M6026cdn KX driver. Avoid mixing WSD and KX queues.
