Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Remove any existing Kyocera CS 5501i KX driver in Programs and Features, reboot, then run the installer as administrator. Confirm you downloaded the correct 32-bit/64-bit package.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

For USB, try another port/cable. For network, verify the copier’s IP address, add a TCP/IP port manually if needed, and ensure PC and device are on the same subnet with SNMP enabled.

Question 3

Version conflicts or duplicate queues?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older KX drivers, delete unused printer ports/queues in Print Management, then install the latest model-specific driver. Avoid mixing Universal and CS 5501i KX drivers.
