Name: korgum64.inf Driver
Author: KORG

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the KORG USB-MIDI installer as administrator and use the latest signed 64-bit package. Disconnect the KORG device during installation, reboot, then reconnect. If Windows blocks the driver, remove any older KORG USB-MIDI driver first.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect the KORG keyboard directly to a rear USB port, avoid unpowered hubs, and confirm the device is in USB-MIDI mode. In Device Manager, check for “KORG USB-MIDI Driver” or unknown devices; if needed, update the driver manually and point it to the extracted `korgum64.inf`.

Question 3

Version conflicts or duplicate MIDI ports?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall old KORG USB-MIDI drivers and stale device entries, reboot, then reinstall the current driver. In your DAW, rescan MIDI devices and remove duplicate KORG port assignments.
