Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Run the Kyocera installer as administrator and remove any existing TASKalfa 250ci queues first. Use the correct KX Driver package for the 250ci, not a generic Kyocera driver, then reboot before retrying.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

For network use, confirm the copier’s IP address and create a Standard TCP/IP port instead of relying on auto-discovery. For USB, connect directly to the PC, avoid unpowered hubs, and check Device Manager for an unknown Kyocera device.

Question 3

Driver version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall old Kyocera KX/Universal drivers and leftover TASKalfa 250ci print queues via Print Management, then install one matching KX Driver version. Avoid mixing Universal and model-specific drivers on the same queue.
