Name: Korg Microkorg XL Driver
Author: KORG

Question 1

Driver install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Run the KORG USB-MIDI driver installer as Administrator, disconnect the Microkorg XL until prompted, and temporarily disable antivirus. Remove any older KORG USB-MIDI driver first using KORG’s uninstaller, then reboot.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect the Microkorg XL directly to a USB 2.0 port—not a hub—and try a different USB cable. Check Device Manager for unknown devices, then reopen your DAW and select the Microkorg XL MIDI port.

Question 3

Version conflicts / port missing in DAW?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall previous KORG USB-MIDI driver versions, reboot, and install the latest driver before reconnecting the synth. Close DAWs and MIDI utilities during installation, then rescan MIDI devices.
