Name: Konica Minolta Magicolor 2550 Driver
Author: Konica Minolta

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the Magicolor 2550, remove old Konica Minolta/magicolor printer entries in Print Management and Devices and Printers, restart the Print Spooler service, then run the 2550 driver setup as administrator.

Question 2

Printer not detected?

Accepted Answer

For USB, connect directly to the PC with a known data cable, not a hub. For Ethernet, confirm the 2550’s IP address on its control panel and add a TCP/IP port manually. Power-cycle the printer and router/switch.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall the old 2550 driver and delete leftover driver packages under Print Management > Drivers. Match 32/64-bit Windows and install the correct Magicolor 2550 package before reconnecting the printer.
