Question 1

Install fails or stops early?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the MC5450 USB cable, run the Konica Minolta installer as administrator, and temporarily disable antivirus. Remove any older Konica Minolta driver package via Print Management, reboot, then reinstall the correct 32/64-bit MC5450 package.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

For USB, use a direct rear port—not a hub—and try another cable. For network, confirm the MC5450 has a valid IP, is on the same subnet, and responds to ping; then restart the Print Spooler service.

Question 3

Version conflicts after updates?

Accepted Answer

In Print Management, delete the existing MC5450 driver and driver package, clear pending print jobs, and install the latest Konica Minolta driver. Match PCL/PS emulation to the printer’s configured mode.
